Picture
Pictures can be used for product pictures, logotypes, pictograms, template elements etc. And as with texts they are handled in boxes, with links and properties. A picture box can contain one or several pictures, stored in the template itself (“free text”) or linked to desired product fields. Pictures will always have maximized size within the box, with some exceptions listed below.
Several picture tags can also be added to the same picture box.
For example when having several pictograms stacked next to each other.
Add Picture to Shoppa
To add a picture, follow these steps.
- Go to the picture tab
- Choose or create a folder where you want it.
- Click Add Picture.
- Select picture(s) from your computer.
Shoppa treats picture quality/filesize automatically for best performance, both in the stores and during template creation. When importing an picture file to Shoppa it will be compressed.

Create a picture box
To add a picture box with a picture, please follow these steps.
- Select the New Picture Element tool.
- Click and drag to create a picture box in the workspace area.
- Shoppa will switch to Pictures Tab on the left side on screen. While the picture box is selected, you can click on any picture to choose it. Or if you prefer, drag and drop it to the box.
Picture placement in picture box
To change the placement of a picture within a picture box, use the Alignment buttons in the Arrange Tab for horizontaland vertical alignment.
Filling, panning and zooming
Use Fit picture in box to display the whole picture.
Use Expand picture to fill to fill the picture box. Cropping will occur if the picture is of another aspect ratio than the picture box.
When using ‘Expand picture to fill’ you have the option to zoom and pan the image.
- Hold the ctrl key on your keyboard.
- Drag the picture with your mouse.
- Use your mouse’s scrollwheel to change to pan it.
