Connect Digital Signage devices to Shoppa

In this chapter we will go through how to connect your digital signage devices to Shoppa 

The Director and the player devices must be connected to the same network.

Add Director and Players

When the Director and Player devices are powered on and connected to the same network an ID will be displayed on the screen. 

This ID will be used to connect your devices to your Shoppa account.  

If your Shoppa client is connected to the same network as the Digital Signage devices you can restart Shoppa when the Director ID is displayed. This will automatically add the Director to your account.  

If your computer is on another network or the process fails, please add the Director manually.

Add director manually

  1. Navigate to the Digital Signage tab 
  2. Click the icon to open channels 
  3. Click the icon for adding a Director 
  4. Enter the ID displayed on the screen 
  5. Confirm by clicking “Ok” 

When the Director is added the player will display a playerID which can be used to add the player to a channel.
If you already have a channel you can skip to Add a player

Create a channel

  1. Navigate to the Digital Signage Tab 
  2. Click the icon to open channels 
  3. Click the icon to create a new channel 
  4. Give the channel a name, we recommend naming it after the department or the location of the screen 
  5. Confirm by clicking Ok 

Add a player

  1. Navigate to the Digital Signage Tab 
  2. Click the icon to open channels 
  3. Select the channel you wish to add the player to 
  4. Click the icon to add the player 
  5. Click on the dropdown field and select the ID displayed on the screen 
  6. Give the player a name, we recommend naming it with department and placement within the department  
  7. Select the screen orientation 
  8. Save by clicking Ok 

Rotate content

If the PlayerID or the material is displayed upside down you can change your player settings so the material is rotated 180 degrees.  

  1. Navigate to the Digital Signage tab 
  2. Click the icon to open channels 
  3. Select the channel your player is registered to 
  4. Right click on your player and select ”Edit player” 
  5. Checkmark the Rotate screen option and click Ok

The material will be updated within 15 minutes
